Really?...You actually want to read them...

tire rack was the most helpful. If you search all available tire sizes, rim widths are in the tire specs.

Bring back and old post with this one... I just pick up a set of Turtle backs and they are pretty rough. They all have some decent curb rash and a sizable chunk out of one. What do yall think is a good value of a set of 4 with out caps. That way I can gauge what I am willing to invest in some restoration of the set.

There are several sets to chose from in theSamba Classifieds Parts - Wheels / Tires ...
Look under Superior Industries Wheels or Volksmag.

Has anyone ever seen turtlebacks with whitewalls?

I'm due to buy some tires, considering some (narrow stripe) whitewalls.

Probably a terrible idea, but I figure if they look goofy I can just remount them with the whites inside.

I realize I'm in the minority, but I love whitewalls. I endorse the idea for skinny stripe ones on your turtlebacks! Not sure I've ever personally seen it done, but I like the idea--please follow up with some pictures, if you indeed go thru with it! Beautiful Ghia by the way!
