The internet is out there. A quick search for brake rotors for that car are 288x25 in front and 245x10 in back.

For $40, it is a good gamble that you'll get a set to work for you. I'd probably pass on the rear brakes, though.

And finally, part of the point of that big brake thread was folks forging new ground. For lots and lots of money, you can buy a proven kit.

Hey Chris
Yep I read the whole thing...also did a search of the whole site.
Lots of good information
But nothing specifically mentioning these brakes from this car.

Problem is I don't have them yet... So I don't know what they "spec" out at.
The guy selling them is 40 miles away they are still on the car..hes russian so email comunication is a bit dodgy
He wants $40 for each complte unit..caliper rotor hoses etc.
But he can't supply a diameter or anything specific.
He says....."You come, you look, you buy....da?"

Oh,The delema's we create for ourselves

Have you seen this thread?

http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=160055

If you read through there, you will find that there are many calipers that can be made to work. The early vans had 47.6mm pistons in the front calipers and the later vans had a single 60mm piston. I would say that if the Audi caliper falls in that range, you SHOULD be good to go. I THINK the Audi rear calipers are 38mm.

I really don't know if the rotors will work. You will just have to do some measuring to find out.
