this truly is a really nice car for sale.
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=472020

i have seen it in person many times.
Every single part has had attention paid to it. i dont care where you look, it has been detailed in some way.

This car goes as good as it looks and is super driveable.

I dont see a $35,000 car there. But then again, cars are like art (and in many cases, some cars are art) and have different appeal to different people. That one's just not my cup o' tea...

Nice, clean, well executed car, some things Im not in love with, but still very nice. Thirtyfive thousand dollars, I am not sure. Asking 35 is one thing, actually getting 35 is a whole other thing.....

For 35K you should at least get a spare tire.

Its looks well done, and I bet its a blast to drive, but for 35k? If it were a '57...I'd say 25k would be fair.

I would have put 9SECVW on the plates.

Run 12's as it sits, or put in a different motor, with a turbo, better trans, and some slicks and run 9's.

for 35K I'd find me a split or something more special. I just don't see 35K there. I think that's just a prime example of someone taking advantage of a month where the car is in a magazine and trying to get the most they can for it. In a couple of months it'll be a whole lot cheaper I bet. It's a nice car just not my taste is all.

Looks almost like a flash back in the 80's to me, maybe with alittle update. $35K I diffently dont think so. Who cares it was in the magazine, it doesnt take much to get in there these days.
Its a nice car if you like that style but its not worth $35K. But if they get it, just think how much we can get for our cars.. Laughing

This car was featured in Hot VW's, I know the guy that built it personally. THIS was a nice car, and I'd be willing to bet my paycheck that this is a nicer car all around.......it sold for $28k. Anyone remember it??

The car in question is a nice car, but I haven't seen it in person. To get $35k for a VW, it has to be something awesome AND rare.

I have seen OldBug.com ads for over a year and I am ceaselessy astonished by many of the asking prices of the cars he advertises Shocked ! If he gets these prices, more power to him. Perhaps he has a clientele that's in a totally different stratosphere.

Nice looking car, but......
Is the ad in the link for the car or are they selling magazines? Or just too lazy to post a meaningfull description of the car?

For $35k I'll build a car myself and have it exactly the way I want it.
