There's supposed to be only 4 or 5 of these in the U.S.
I see them on German ebay a lot.
Be nice to get one of them, if only it could be brought back.
Quite a few had the turbo diesel.
I see them go for around 4,000 us dollars over there.

Reminds me of the one I bought for parts. Looked just like this
Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Nice body, had the bubble windows all around, wood floors, but no cabinets. The only thing cool left was the gasoline heater, Embarassed but I sold it.

On your picture is a Westfalie Joker.

The Dehler Profi was made by the company Dehler, not Westfalia.

Dehler Profi has an shower and a TV inside.

I know, but the high roof reminds me of the joker.

I disagree, I own a 1984 Dehler Vanagon, and in mine, you can sleep in the roof. It folds out, on tracks. It fits 2 adults, if they're very friendly. I've been meaning to post up some photos for some time, and hope to soon in the rides section. Not all had the shower option (mine doesn't). I just have a sink, fridge, and table. No stove.

Tank83, Thanks for the link above to the Dehler site, I've never seen that before, and I've owned my van for about 17 years. Very cool to see similar ones, as I've never come across another one in "real life".

The downside of owning such a high-profile vehicle is that it's like driving a sailboat. Driving across the Dakotas can be downright dangerous, I've had to pull over and wait a day for the wind to die down. The upside is that you can stand in it, even when you're cruising down the highway. Mine has the standard 1.9 vanagon engine, and is way slow. But it has style, so who cares?

Please tell how much it cost you to bring that into Canada. How much time was involved? Lot of trouble or only a little?

Yes, you can sleep in a Dehler roof.
There is space for two persons.
