Mine had these stock Baja 'Marathon' style wheels on it when I bought it. I didn't like them at first but they've grown on me. I may paint them a brighter silver though. Front is lowered 2.5 inches, and yes, the tires rub! _________________ Mike B. |

Waxhead, Your ride looks great! I think your right, your wheels may look a bit better about 5 shades lighter silver though. I do like those wheels on there. May I suggest a small or fine silver metallic with a bit of silver or white pearl mixed in. This gives a aluminum type look. But the reflector on the quarter must go. |

nice wheels, but you should also be specific like et/offset no. wheel size, stock beam, stock beam with adjusters, narrowed beam with adjusters/dropped spindle staff like these ...by doing this your sharing more clear information to our fellow vwac fanatics. |

I, for one, would like to see a pic or two. Also, what size tires are you rolling? _________________ "My biggest worry is that when I die, my wife will sell all my parts for what I told her I paid for them"-Jon

I really like the hard to find "wide 5" American Eagle Fuch replicas on Howard Thomas' 1964 "vintage blown" coupe. He spent many hour remachining them to fit correctly. Look closely and you'll see the aluminum 356 drums sticking out nicely from behind the rims.

Wooow! Those are fine wheels! How did you get the stock wheels in chrome. Did you get it done at a shop, or do they sell them that way. The half moons look way, way cool on a Ghia.
Thanks for sharing. |

Aloha from Hawaii, For my 68 Ghia coupe with its stock balljoint front end, disc brakes, CB Performance 2.5" dropped spindles, I am running Konig 6.5" J-Spec Rims. Front tires 175/55-15's from Black Gold in Texas, no tire rub of any sort. Still plenty of wheel well for lowering the front even more. Rear tires are 195/50-15's. Redlines are from Chris Seeger L5VW in Oregon. Aloha Mike

grelland ,
Love the wheels. Especially the impossible to find center caps. Where did you get those? I'd rather have those than the two blade spinners that I have now. _________________ Allen C.

Mahalo lonotch for the help with picture posting!
I also for got to mention that my Konig Rims are the water cooled car 4X100 lug pattern. Anyone can also order their drums and rotors custom drilled 4X100 and more from CIP1 too. Aloha Mike |

when did ghia's go from wide 5 to small 4 stud pattern?
I like the look of stockies, but a 2nd set is always good for a change around, the 914's polished/black look great I reckon, dunno in a wide 5 on a ghia! _________________ '54 Beetle - current

You sure about that?
Bugs did, but Ghias had rotors in 67. _________________ It's not about the window, it's about the people.
