Just got the news that "Uncle Jerry" Jess is back in the hospital with heart and kidney failure. His health has been declining in recent years and he has had a couple close calls. He's come back through each time, so lets all pray that he does it again! Please keep Jerry Jess in your prayers. 
Fantastic people, he and his wife. If you have ever met them I sure dont need to tell you that.

| Just wanted to update everyone on Jerry: He is A-OK, yes he is in the hospital but it is not a serious or critical situation, just a small issue with fluid drainage, nothing serious. He is in good spirits and doing just fine. He thanks everyone for keepng him in his prayers and hopes to see everyone soon when he gets out. Those that were planning on attending his party tomorrow are still asked by Jerry to come over and enjoy some delicous food Melissa has been preparing for the party, although Jerry will not be present, still please come out and have a great time and celebrate the BEST vwperson on earth we all have ever known. Wow...that is a much better prognosis that I had thought based on Magoo's email to me (heart and lung failure sounds pretty serious)...this is excellent news!! Sorry if I got everyone all worried and stuff.
Still keep praying for him though. Truly sweet folks.
I wish I was closer to come join the party!

jerry take care, as i have to do, i just got out last friday with my left leg, my sugar got all messed up and took out my leg its called cellulitis, ok jerry you got well and i will be ready for the fremont street and we both can cruise up and down the street together. is that a deal or what. melissa and my wife vicki can walk behind us telling us how hard headed we are.

I just want to openly thank you and Magoo for being such ultra friendly cool folks. Truly the "VW people" poster kids... I think its been at least 20 years or more that we've done friendly business at the shows and swaps.
In short...you rock! And the VW family is pulling for you! I am certain that if there is ANYTHING you guys need, that we would all be more than happy to help. Please dont hesitate to ask.

Now quit all this funny sick business and get that top hat back on and get back to the shows!!

Jerry, you're a tough Olde Pharte, you'll come through this, just as you have come through other scrapes. You know that the entire VW community is pulling for you, and the ones that believe in it are praying for you and Magoo.
