|
|
Since this car is pretty unknown in most parts of the world, I hereby want to present my brasilian VW 1600 Variant.
Thats how i bought it:
not very original. smaller tires, smoked windows. sports-steering-wheel
After a few improvements:
Many parts changed to original.
Repainted and other changes:
painted in rubyred
Rear-View:
Note the small taillights and it has only one pair of rear-sidewindows
Another rear-view:
climbing sanddunes
Front-view:
Is it only me or does this somehow remind me on a Rolls-Royce?
Bottom:
Yes its true! This is Type 1!!!
More Chrome:
Just added a little Chrome. Still not finished with the car.
If you have questions about brasilian VWs, don't hesitate to ask. _________________ My Homepage:

Nice. Would love to find one around me.
What year is that? How about an engine bay shot?
Thanks!
Hey, I see you called it a Type I. I've always seen these referred to as Type 3. Doesn't matter to me, I still want one! _________________ 71 SB

Hi!
It is from 1970.
This foto was taken before reformation. Right now I don't have a more acurate one.
Here are two more pix:
fresh polished Chrometrim at the bottom and original mirrors outside.

Awesome.
Definitely has the T3 engine layout.
People around here would be running off the road staring at it if they saw one of those driving around. _________________ 71 SB

That's really cool, Marco. Good to see someone getting it all correct too. _________________ 1974 Thing -- under the knife

I placed it under "other VW vehicles" because it actually is no Type 3. It has a Type 1 Chassi.... Very difficult _________________ My Homepage:
