I have been to the volksrod site, but their pics arent workin. anyone know how to make a frontend extension for the rod look. I,m looking to move my front forward about 7 in. I know you can buy the set up, but I wanna do it myself |

Look at the adapter on Volksrods web site its just tubing and 8 beam clamps, personally I would use another frame head and 7 inches of the tunnel with internal gussets. |

I did my own beam extension and modified beam. I had to use a second beam to do it but you can get a junk beam a lot cheaper than a pre-made extension kit. To do it I cut the end off of the spare beam to leave me with the center piece to mount in stock location, then used thick wall steel pipe, fishmouthed on each end, and used them to space the actual beam foreward 12 inches. While I was at it I also flipped the beam and control arms (a.k.a. "suicide beam") which moved the front wheels foreward even more for a grand total of 22 inches the wheels moved up. Doing the extension was quite easy and was done in just a few hours.
