I've crossed over to the lighter side tonight, because it was on sale and why not?, no complaints, good stuff.

Most lay people don't realize that's actually a German beer style. It's a Munich Dunkel Lager.
I've had it. It is "Okay". |

That beer would be the perfect compliment to a liquor cake. _________________ Your Vanagon sucks, Stop waving at me.

Had Bud Light for the room.. but always up for finding new to me stuff while out and about.
Dropped in the Cafe Old Vienna German Austrian Restaurant .. . It is Oktoberfest season after all
Decided on the "sampler" 8 ounces of each.
Hirter Pils
Hirter Dark
Reissdorf Kolsch
Warsteiner Lager
Spaten
Paulaner Hefe Weizen
(Insert non VW but German content photo that was deleted by the Samba here: )
These nicely complimented my Pecan Wiener Schnitzel, Sauerkraut, and Home fries.. just like my Nana used to make.. oh man.. so good.
Next night...
Cooper River Orange infused Blonde Ale
Cigar City Jai Alai IPA
Night three
Devil's Backbone Vienna Lager..
Mmmm.. Beer..

Visited NOLA last week. Many good beers. I will post a few as I recall their names.
This one became a standard for me.

I know.. not really IPA season... but.. I mix it up all year.
I picked up a 6 er' of Funky Buddha Brewery's "Hop Gun".
It is a very refreshing IPA. Not overly hopped at all.

Up to my neck in a large remodel and addition to my own home. Saving/spending money and working my ass off. Painting now, and that requires beer, for me at least.
Just over ten bucks for an 18 pack. Bringing back memories of my ski bum days.

Used to be able to buy it in the bottle, in a bar, for under a dollar. When all of your funds go to skis, ramen, and beer, that price works. _________________ nothing |
