Wow. Thanks for the warning.

Not sure what you are implying but I didn't want to go to another country and drink Budweiser, Miller, etc.

As I said, it was decent. Don't know that I would buy it here if you could get it.

I'm drinking Hamm's.
It's rated 5 STARS by some dude on the internet who has his own blog!

Hey, I don't blame you. Heck, I wouldn't want to drink that crap in ANY country.

Well, the 970 people on Beer Advocate that have rated Hamms, disagree. It is a "Poor" beer.

It is sad- the people that claim to like crap beer, make that claim simply because they've never cared enough about beer to seek out something better. It would be like if everything they know about food, they learned in the drive-through lane at McDonald's.

In my opinion, life is simply too short to drink crap beer.

Again, and again, and again. When you go to parties, does everyone else leave early?

I know I would. Fuck, this guy is annoying.

To everyone, put him on ignore! None of us will see any thing he posts. And do not quote him, then we will really never see anything he posts.

On topic, tonight, I am having a Torpedo.

Some people would call this "crap beer" but I called it delicious.....back in the day when I couldn't afford anything else. Well, maybe not delicious. Maybe I just called it beer.

cdennisg - couldn't have said it better myself.

Meanwhile - everything you claim to "know" about beer, you learned from reading "Beer Advocate".

Works for me, now if only there was a way to apply the same feature to real life, like when you stop by a Porsche or Corvette meet Confused

And as for me it was Red Truck Field trip Northwest IPA, bold, but not too hoppy, yum!

Never do that. Its almost as bad as a group of purple Ford's and red Chevies. Laughing

Switching to this now, then bed time.

Not at all.

Everything I've ever learned about beer, has been based upon actual experience with beer. Real beer. Beer Advocate has simply accelerated my learning curve.

If you, for example, as a lay person were to claim that you liked a particular urine-colored semi-fermented low-alcohol Adjunct Lager marketed by the largest mega-brewery in the world as "beer", but thousands of experienced beer reviewers said that it was crap, then that would make you wrong- it's crap. And if I were subjected to it, and I found it to be crap also, then I would agree with them, not you.

i'm not rich enough even to be able to afford to quote GB. (heck, i can barely afford capital letters) Sad

after a long day of panhandling at the closest-to-the-bridge-i-live-under interstate off-ramp, i gather up my tattered rucksack and take my cup full of change, bum a ride to the bus station, wash up in the bathroom sink (or toilet, whichever is most convenient at the time), then open my locker, take my sole prized possession out from its storage sack (a very holey old woolen sock), and then saunter (<--- i had to pay extra for that word) to the nearest whole paycheck, uh i mean whole foods, and purchase a bottle of my most favorite swill. today was a good day. it was raining, and people tend to feel more sympathetic toward us bums who beg in the rain, so i even made enough to buy a croissant. i was also able to find a nice clean piece of cardboard to take this picture on. it will make a very nice sign for tomorrow!

Unless you pulled that croissant from the trash bin, you are much too classy for the rest of us.

Had to edit my post. I spelled "too" with only one "o". Don't care which bridge one lives under, poor spelling has no place in civilized society.

it was being pulled off the 'day old/half off sale' shelf right before closing time, getting ready to be thrown in the compost pile. does that count? i gave them $0.20 for it (a dime, a nickel, and 5 pennies).

Ratemycroissant.com gives the Whole foods day olds a solid 95 amongst panhandlers who live under bridges, you did good!
