Here’s my Schwinn skiptooth. Mostly original, except the seat and handlebars. |

So instead of working on the Volkswagen I’ve been working on this jig to build custom bicycle frames.
I also got this mongoose fat tire bike.
The Manhattan bike that I’ve been on is a little short for me.
I bought this tall centurion frame the other day.
All the gear from the black bike will fit on it but for the brakes. _________________ SS100 kit kar

here's my latest project - mid 1930s opel which I've kitted out as an air-raid (luftschutz) wardens bike.

I have been riding and working on bicycles almost every day, except for cleaning up my welding mess and taking care of my fish.
I put together the fake Schwinn Chinese mountain bike with parts from a new girls Huffy, new seat and bars from the low rider bicycle shop, new tires, and some used forks off the Internet.

Not sure if I posted this earlier, but here's the before and after of my daughter's 1980 Raleigh Rampar R-10 build. Stock rebuild wasn't working out, so I did a little resto-mod with her choice of parts. Before pic followed by after pic.

Holy shit!!! What canal did you drag that out of? I didn’t think I’d ever see a Rampar again. This is wonderful!! Nice job and thanks for the memories
I’m a BMX kid from the 70s. Anyone remember Speedo BMX bikes? Think Hayward, CA.
Here is some knowledge people might not know amount the Rampar. I grabbed it from the web. I knew most of the story but didn’t have internet in the 70s yet
Raleigh / Rampar R-10 BMX Entertainment USA! We all know that bicycle motocross (BMX) started in California (USA) back in the 70s. The evolution of the Raleigh / Rampar R-10 BMX (which we would recognise in Britain as the Mk I Burner). During the 1970s, Raleigh of Nottingham sold Huffy the US rights to the Raleigh brand. The Rampar name comes from the acronym; RAleigh AMerica PARts and was originally used as the brand name for all parts distributed by Raleigh U.S.A.

Back in the late 60's my friend and I took vacuum cleaner tubes, smashed one end in the vise then drilled a hole through it. The other open end we hammered on to the forks of our Sting Rays. That's how we made choppers. _________________ Prosit!

Back in 1968 you could get a 10’ stick of 1/2” EMT for 99 cents, and 1” dia was about two dollars.
That’s what I used to make forks and sissy bars. _________________ SS100 kit kar
