So my seats rattle all over the place because there are no bushings in the tracks. Can I use part # VWC-113-881-213-2 which are seat bushings for 71 to 72 beetles? Or does anyone know of any way to rig some up. They sell type 3 track bushings on cip1.com but they have been out of stock for about a year and even if the were in stock they want $57 for them. Mad Mad

I think someone on here mentioned that ISP West had them, and they were cheap.

I got mine at ISP west about a month ago -- $10 per chunk or $40 for both seats.

Cool. Thanks. Only 1 more question though. I thought the 73 seat tracks were different from the earlier? I have some 70 Fasty seats and it is a different track system.

Sorry... so west coast metric gives a part number of 113-214-l/r for the 73 to 74 seat track bushings which is different from the 71-72 part number but cip1 labels that part number like this 133-214-LR - SEAT TRACK BUSHING KIT - 6 PIECES DOES BOTH FRONT SEATS - BEETLE 73-79 It makes no mention that it works for a type 3. What do you guys think.

If these are what you need,
I have at least three. Two hourglass shaped and one rectangular.
Maybe all four, but I think one was missing
PM me your address, and I can send them to you.
If I find the other; I'll send it, too

I just bought a set for my 69 at VWIspwest.com. $10 each.
Me? Now I need a drivers seat for my 73 FB. Just the lower portion would do.
With the tilting ratch. The bolts are all missing in mine and the springs are broke.
I think this car was a true "fat chick".

Have you ever had your seat come unlatched while driving?? That is a danger right there.
For one thing 73 seat come off the rails to the rear, not the front. If the seat isnt properly latched, it could come off the tracks unexpectedly.
