Saturday - August, 11 2007 starts at 10:00am
Robert W. Crown State beach, Alameda
we have the "City View" Picnic Area
It is located at the southern end of the park with parking available in the Otis St. lot. The site is near the beach and has a great view of San Francisco across the Bay.
This is a pot luck BBQ. Beer and wine in the picnic area only. Dogs must be on leash and are prohited on the beach.
Robert W. Crown Memorial State Beach features 2.5 miles of beach bordered by lawns and picnic grounds. A bicycle trail winds through the park and swimming is allowed - although there are no lifeguards posted.
There is a parking fee of $5.00 per vehicle
From Interstate 880 in Alameda County, exit Broadway/Alameda (exit 42). Follow the signs for the Webster Tunnel, and when you come above ground again, stay to the left on Constitution Way. Constitution Way changes to 8th Street at Lincoln Avenue -- proceed on 8th Street to Otis Way and the park entrance on the right. Once past the entrance kiosk, continue to the last parking lot.
