I'm considerign replacing my triple crank pulley with a single one. Anyone have thoughts on advantages/disadvantages? It's for a 1.9. I'm thinking the lighter single pulley may be better because there would be less weigh/inertia for the engine to turn. Thanks

You will never notice the difference. The triple is for power steering and A.C. If you have neither, the single would be fine. But why would you have a triple then ?

They are selling heavy pulleys for the crank on type 1 motors to increase inertia. Supposed to help crank, bearing and case life.

I have an '84 Westy with no AC and no PS but it came with the triple pulley. Why, I have no idea, but I don't think it is unusual for them to be that way.
