So my local (Berkeley, California) Audi/VW tuner shop is looking to get rid of their 1982 air-cooled delivery/hauling van. The owner says it has new heads with around 40k miles. The chassis has around 170 k miles on it. I checked it out and it's fine externally but I didn't drive it or hear the engine running. The usual exterior dings with a mismatched blue sliding door on a white van and it's....an automatic.
He said I could have it for $ 200 or $ 100?
I can't remember the amount because when I heard it was air-cooled and an automatic I kinda stopped listening....
I can tell that he wants to get rid of the van but doesn't want to do any work. So if someone wants it they should go IN PERSON to Griffin Motorwerke and drive that thing away to a home that wants it.
Tell them Chester sent you...... _________________ 1984 Wolfsburg 7-passenger stock sunroof
1992 Subaru Legacy EJ22 boxer motor installed.... van is now sold.... currently playing with a 1987 Toyota MR2 with 1.6 liter twin-cam motor. Better than the Subaru boxers....... I'm impressed. Well, okay, in an "apples and oranges" kind of way. |
