Looks lovely, John. I'd be proud of it too.
P.S. I think the non-overrider bumpers look much better, too; much more elegant. _________________ David Ruby

John, were you happy with the fit of the Harrington bumpers? Did you have to make any modifications to fit them up? They look very nice. Congrats on a beautiful Ghia! |

Is the passenger side mirror a requirement for the UK? Why did you choose to add it? |

No, as I said previously, it's not for me. |
Oh I thought your wife wanted it for when she was driving the car - she wants it to look backwards when you are driving... gotcha |

Went out this morning to take some more picture to send to Betty the PO of my Ghia.
I live near The New Forest in Hampshire so I went for a drive to a couple of favoured spots.
Coming home I stumbled across The New Forest Hunt and I couldn't have set it up better if I tried. The Master of The Hounds came over to look at the car. "Beautiful car," he said, "I was sure it was a Sunbeam."
We stopped and chatted about the car for a couple of minutes...he was impressed.

great pics, and a beautiful car,i agree with the bumpers, they look better, and who could argue that if a customer in the 50s wanted the earlier bumpers that the dealer wouldnt oblige? same goes for the mirror,im sure there are some that will disagree, but personally i dont think the dealers wouldnt do anything a customer wanted _________________ Have a great day! |

Thanks Hughes and Gheezer...they were genuinely lucky shots. If I'd known they were out today and set-up to follow them I'm sure I would never have been in the right place. Here's a few more.

If you made these images into postcards and offered them for sale, I'd buy a packet of 10 each. _________________ West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette, 319 U.S. 624 (1943) |

brilliant idea to not only recoup some parts/restoration costs, not to mention giving the car more provenance _________________ Have a great day! |
