OK you've seen the pictures, here's the Premier of the movie. I've dress up in my best frock for the event.

Here it is...

Yep, driving on the wrong side of the road is just wrong.

I bet you can't pat your head and rub your stomach at the same time can you. Wink

Driving anywhere in the world left, right it makes no difference to me, it takes a couple of minutes to get used to it. I remember picking up a rental in Orlando FL, in the pitch dark and driving 100 miles to our friends place after a 10 hour flight. What's the problem. Laughing

My mantra, repeated each time I get behind the wheel in the UK:

Quote:
I am in a foreign country
I do not know what the hell I’m doing
Keep to the left and don’t kill anybody

Has worked so far.

You're driving a car set-up to drive on the left...no problem. Smile

Even driving my LHD Ghia on the left has never been a problem. It surprises me people import LHD Ghias to the UK and then go to the trouble to convert them to RHD.

Summer comes to an end and you make the most of the dry weather while it lasts. Today is dry, the rest of the week mixed so I took a morning drive out around the Winchester area.

Gotta love ramshackle buildings and shiny Ghias. Smile

Down into Winchester, outside the ancient St. Cross Hospital where I had a long conversation with a man passing by. As usual he had no idea what the car was but he had looked at the badge. Smile

It's probably been said, but I'm kinda new here so I just have to say the paint on your car is amazing. In some pictures it looks like black chrome. So nice!!

Thanks Johnny, I used a clay bar on the paint for the first time a couple of months ago and then a resin polish and a I really like the outcome. It's by no means perfect paint but it pictures very well. Smile

I’d like to think my experience had something to do with your interest in clay barring. Your car does look fabulous!

It did indeed, thank you. I was impressed how well your paintwork was transformed. I watched a couple of Youtube videos and ordered an Autoglym kit. Smile

I believe a more correct verb might be “resurrected”.

Shocked

Hey Idea , I have to take some selfies so that I can create an online dating profile.
Do you suppose that the clay bar procedure could do the same thing to my 57 year old face that it did to those 60+ year old Karmann Ghias?

Amazing! Simply amazing.

Well you could give it go Daryl although disappointment is often the side effect of overestimating a clay bar's capacity to resurrect. Laughing

Went back to those two roadside barns this morning as it was a sunny day to shoot a couple of different angles. I intended to reverse in alongside the side-on barn but there was a steep drop hidden by long grass. It would have knocked off my exhaust so no dice.

and just a few hundred yards down the road the Victorian Twyford Waterworks made an interesting backdrop too.
