|
|
Just finished installing the new partition panels after recovering the center panel on my '66 deluxe bulkhead. The OG rubber that runs around the front and sides of the drink tray (and over the metal piece that holds the drink tray) looks so bad I can't tell if it was originally the same beige as the grab bars, or maybe aeropapyrus to match the OG interior.
So my two questions are:
1. Should the rubber match the interior or the grab bars?
2. Does anyone have a source for a new piece? (I already checked the WW catalogue and they don't carry it).
Minor item, but to leave it as is would be pretty ugly. |

Ive got a 66 deluxe, platinum int.. Ive installed the rubber that is correct for a salt/pepper combo (greenish) on my tray. Ive been watching the classifieds for people parting out buses cuz no one repos the tray rubber. You also need the correct rubber for your divider base? I put in a black rubber but I need the correct brown one for my deluxe. Good luck. Al |

Yes, I'm also looking for the correct rubber for the divider base; I'd be happy to find black at this point. Am considering inserting a hardboard panel covered with extra mesh plat fabric I have, thus eliminating the foot insert area for middle seat passengers....will probably do that until (if) I can find proper rubber. The PO had done just that and it didn't look too bad. |
