Skim, The "holy grail" is something that is near unattainable, and from the looks of all the "chrome earlies" those are just a common $2 trick! Wink

To most people they still are unnatainable. Luckily, most of us snatched ours up when they were neglected like little baby Jesus in the manger on his day of birth. Now people have blown its prophecy up into a mockery by making the pretendo versions by Flat 4. The true followers of earlyism will not be led astray and run amuck by these immitations.

I had a guy ask me what my Chrome 4.5 and 6's cost and when I told him he then went on to let me know I was "crazy" to pay that much since he had less than that in his Beetles paint job...... Not cheap wheels, you can get them, but most don't pay the high price of entry!

I still say when one of you guys puts some Rudge knock offs or another similarly rare wheel (which I cannot think of at this time) on your ride, I'll give you some props until then this "earlies thing" just makes me tired #Sleep And if you guys think earlies are expensive, the money you spend on a full set all chromed up like a french hooker couldn't buy one Rudge Twisted Evil

Those Rudge knock offs are ugly to me. Wires belong on Impalas not VWs. Wink

I believe those are the "pretendo" version, very rare as well and they still look bad ass! Kick those earlies to the curb and invest in some real precious metal! Wink

Putting earlies on a Barndoor are like putting 21's on a musclecar, "earlies" are nice but the time frame is wrong since they didn't hit the scene until 66. Rudges were on all the 50's Porsche racers and were a rare premium option on the production cars so that makes them hands down, without question the U-L-T-I-M-A-T-E early wheel. For reference what should the terminology be in their regard? earliest earlies, pre-earlies, super unobtanium, or status makers... Wink Maybe it's time for me to roll out my Okrasa powered 55 sunroof standard with some "super unobtanium status makers" Laughing yeah that has a nice ring to it Exclamation
