Those two above look like homemade ducts. |
The '65 dormy SO-42 does not have 119 on the M-code tag, so the eberspacher was probably a later install. Maybe that's what dealers in the US used.
????
I wonder if maybe different styles were used different years. |
There are different styles as the sizes of the ducting changed from model to model. My guess with yours, is that the paper hose either was missing or destroyed and that was the patch.
oh, i'm not sure about Mark's I have no experience with the US heaters _________________ Your Vanagon sucks, Stop waving at me.

I'll check my M plate tomorrow. I assumed this was a U.S. dealer install as the SW heater was used (as opposed to the Eberspacher) and the spare tire well was removed, a plate screwed down in it's place with the spare mounted up front. The duct work from the heater to the duct next to the tank is MIA so I'll have to fab something. _________________ One man's "patina" is another man's cancer...

I can only assume what I thougt was correct. Dealer add-on in US market. Looks like it was originally delivered to Houston/San Antonio. But it has a dealer emblem & sticker from Boyce Motors of Grand Junction, CO. _________________ One man's "patina" is another man's cancer...

Well, export to Houston and original sale in Colorado seems reasonable. The distributor might have been there or something. |

Here you go.
It's just a circle of sheet steel three inches in diameter with three little ears tack welded onto it. I made mine.

Any grill/vents in the outlet?
I hope I can show my outlet soon... _________________ 1967 Split SO-42 Dormobile |
