Here are some pics of my Safare I just bough for $750. I drove it about 1 block before it died. It's in decent condition overall, though it does look like a blue ice cream truck (need to make it two tone again!)
Some pics of the interior. It's missing the refrigerator (I have the manual for it though!) The table is missing too.
One of the windows is broken, I'm thinking I'll just take it out and make a trip to the local glass store to get a replacement cut and installed.
I happened upon this and wasn't really looking for a camper. I was going to remove everything inside, but my wife likes it, so I might end up restoring everything. I'll likely make a few exceptions though, primarily replacing the floor tile with some black carpet. I've removed the spare tire srom the front too, though I don't know where I'll put it now. _________________ 1969 Sedan

I think I am going to sell my Safare (no room for it). If anyone is interested, send me a PM. I'll likely be posting it back up in the classifieds soon. _________________ 1969 Sedan

Weren't these made in California?
Does anyone have a scan of the brochure?
Late fan/oil cooler
Thermocouple on "3"
Single port

Syn brake fluid
110V window a/c on luggage shelf

Any advice on use of a later heater blower? |

This is crazy. I have the exact same bus as most of these pictured here. Tribus 4sure. Same windows in the high-top, same interior, same plastic molding on the cabnet doors, stove, ice box, sink, grey water tank, table and bed arrangment. EVERYTHING. But mine has a westfelia tag on the dogleg passenger side. ?????????

It's possible you have a westy that's been converted. _________________ 1969 Sedan

I've thought of that too. There are no dead holes underneath where the sink drain would have been. No holes for mounting the Z-bed. If someone did convert it they went to great lengths to do it right. Down to installing that crappy yellow lanolium. Who picked that and what were they trippin on? Guess the next step for me is to get the tag numbers and do the legwork. |

The easiest way that I've found is to open an account on "photobucket".
I download all my pictures on there. Then I just copy the IMG Code
below the picture and paste it into the message. _________________ SOME MORNINGS IT'S JUST NOT
