Hello. This may be a stupid question, but I'm wondering if there is supposed to be some kind of gasket where the brake light switch screws into the master cylinder. I replaced the master cylinder but kept the old brake light switch. I'm getting a leak there now. If it doesn't need a gasket, why else would it be leaking? Thanks. |

Those switches can leak internally and then past the electrical terminals or body seal. The threads are tapered (on the switch, not the m/c) and usually seal up just like pipe threads. _________________ '67 bug: seized by the authorities
