I installed the Empi version of that and had to completely take it apart and debur the machined surfaces. After everything was smooth, I drenched evrything with liquid graphite and it worked great. The shifter may feel smotth right now but when you connect it to the trans, the slightest bur can cause you some problems. I've heard of some people installing the shifter with the trans in first gear but neutral worked best for me. Also, make sure there isn't slack in the shift rod u-joint. Hope this helps...

im starting to look more towards the cable shifter set up but im gonna play around with the super shifter for one last weekend too see if i can get it right.. so you are saying put the trans in 3rd and put the shifter in 3rd. then tighten everything down and that should be it? ill definatly try it this weekend.

Make sure the shift rod, trans shaft and shifter are all in line with each other. If they are off by the smallest margin it will bind, I used a 1/2 inch swivel adapter from a socket set at either end, no problems Very Happy
