I need help guys...I am going on a trip tommorow so...help me out!

Anyway...when I drive my car, there is a strange subtitle hiss noise on the right back wheel, like metal grinding on a metal. I've checked the brakes, they weren't grinding. Is this a sign of a worn out wheel beareings?

A hiss? Well if you go down the list off possibilities:

brake shoes
wheel bearing
CV's

The most likely to make a hiss or slight scraping noise are brakes but all are possible. CV's and bearing are more likely to make clicking or grinding noises which you can frequently also feel

Snakes on a VW? Twisted Evil

Hmmm... well, I'd try having someone drive it by slowly, while you listen standing or walking next to that wheel to try to pinpoint more closely where the noise might be coming from.

Long shot...is the charcoal canister loose and rubbing against the wheel?
