Must have been due to the super-high demand.
How much were you asking for yours? _________________ -Thom

I sold mine for $4,500, but of course it wasn't NOS, but it was VERY VERY nice.
I bought a fully loaded one that is now in my ghia (NOS aircleaners, manifolds, perfect heads and crank with NOS 36hp cylinders, etc, and NOS 36hp case, built by one of the #1 2 piece Porsche engine builders on the east coast for only about $3k more.
Who the F would put a NOS Okrasa in their car anyway? Once you drive it one mile, the value drops by 75%. _________________ Kevin "Wiggy"

It's only NOS once. |
Yup, and the second you lay a wrench to it, there goes $18k of value... _________________ -Thom

If I were a multimillionaire, I would buy it just so I could say I have it. _________________ Kevin "Wiggy"

That's just effin insane. He could still make a killing at half that price. I don't understand why it's THAT special, other than it being rare. _________________ oo9less since 2007

It really requires a "show" mentality. You open the deck lid and everyone goes..."Wow" but the reality is a type 4 motor blows them away. Keep the deck lid closed and kick butt on Porsches for 1/3 of the price. _________________ "What a fool believes he sees, no wise man has the power to reason away." Dobee, Dobee, Do |

Don't get me wrong.......I would love to have that perfect Okrasa, but they are outdated technology that is very expensive for the "look"....and that's about all. _________________ "What a fool believes he sees, no wise man has the power to reason away." Dobee, Dobee, Do |

I know where you can get a 57 engine complete with all of the Okrassa goodies installed. Last I heard he was asking $6500 for it. I have seen it and it is all there............... _________________ Never drive faster than your Angel can fly
