I know - SEARCH, right? Well I can't find any real info on this so I'm asking for direct input. Very Happy

I've got a pretty heavily built 1915cc - dual 46mm carbs, Engle 120 cam, fully balanced, lightened flywheel, full MSD ignition, ported/ploished heads, etc. etc. I know I'm right on the border of getting the best results from either a 1.5" or 1.625" exhaust and I want to know which one is best for street driving.

This car (Ghia) is going to be a weekend warrior and not used for drag racing. Basically I want to tear ass around town and beat down Hondas, which means I'd prefer low end torque to upper end hp. Does this mean the 1.5" inch or would 1.625" still be better?

Thanks guys.

I will be running similar to your setup and was told to run 15/8 exhaust. I have 40x 37.5 valves ported and polished by Fred Simpson of Performance Technology.
