Well you guys make me feel lazy!
All i did was put in new copper hardlines on the rear of my mates 78, along with wheel cylinders and new linings. Pulled of the front caliper and rotor todo the front inner wheel bearing one side too. Still haven't done half the stuff I wanted to do to mine tho. It still looks like this

Started Operation Interior. A foray into the wild world of plywood splinters and saw dust.
Floor is cut out, working on a quick release slide out tray so it can have a fancy wood floor and not get destroyed when I want to move engines.
Got the slider door panel cut.... just have to find a source for 1/8th luan or baltic birch. 5mm is a bit on the wide side for the front doors... _________________ 1971 Westfalia with a high top.

I worked on the odometer by driving the crap out of it and taking the family camping Finally getting some summer weather here, even though the nights feel like fall _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

I bought this 71 Bay this past weekend for my daughter.
Projects so far completed: Adjusted clutch, got some of the exterior lights working, replaced leaking valve cover gaskets.
Upcoming Projects: replace brake booster, relace all tie rods and ends, get the rest of the lights working... im sure there is more.... _________________ Steve

Hey all,
This weekend I washed the bus, installed a few tie down hooks in the rear compartment, did some vacuuming, cleaned the windows inside and out and installed these new lights. Check them out! Very 70’s!
I found the lights on EBay over a year ago…just got around to it… _________________ Cheers!

This weekend I worked on finishing my 6 scratch built Galaga arcade machines. This may not seem like working on my bus, but I've got them all sold, and the profits are going to get me about 1/3 of the way towards a camper special. Fortunately this time I'm not making them playable until the very last thing. Last time I built some they were playable before all of the art and finishing touches were finished, and it took me months to stop playing and get back to work. |

Stripped all of the crappy laminate off of the sink unit on my 77. I'm going for a look similar to EZ Gruv's, but with more of a stain. This weekend the entire family is working on the bus so I should have a lot more to report next week. _________________ '67 13 Window

I cleaned the entire bus, and pressure washed/blasted it with water. Tore out all the camper interior, put its pop top up and examined the canvas for the first time (needs replacing). It was quite fun ripping everything out |

Even more fun is cleaning out the mouse nests and little mouse skeletons. Other than that, my bus was really clean. _________________ '67 13 Window

I installed the Carter rotary fuel pump...so much quieter and now the bus starts up immediately like it should. Here's what else I did:
Muffler before (with overspray from paint):
After (about 5 coats of 1200 deg. silver spraycan pepboys paint)
The windows, lights, hardware & license plate were installed before I left Georgia for New Jersey about a month ago.
Rustbullet the floor & various rust spots after grinding them down(last weekend):
Then rubber undercoating in a spraycan...also from pepboys & claimed to deaden sound so I was sold.

Drained the tranny, removed the axles and replaced the leaky flange seals in anticipation of the new CV joints currently on their way for this weekend's installation. A big thanks to Scott from German supply. His slide show detailing replacement of the flange seal was a huge help. Learned that a Dremel tool with a round wire brush tip works great for cleaning out those cruddy socket head cv bolts, (excellent for cleaning electrical connections too), and NAPA stores stock 2 brands of GL-4 tranny oil, which my foreign parts store guy swears is absolutely no longer availble. |

Damn son, lookin good!! Hows that paint holding up?? It has cured enufff to block it out and buff it, if you want to. If not, a good coat of wax will help protect it. Keep up the good work, and drive that thing like ya stole it!!! _________________ "no matter where you go, there you are.." |

I'm getting a lot closer to painting. I was sanding everything down with a DA and I found a lot of bondo on the nose. It seemed overly thick, so I stripped it off and found a piss poor attempt at pulling out a dent. I straightened it the best I could, filled in the holes from the stud puller, applied a layer of body solder, followed by bondo-glass and finally some glazing putty. Here's the nose. All the stripped area was covered by bondo.
Some of the sanding I did:
I also filled in the holes for the side reflectors
It was a busy weekend, though I wish I had gotten more sanding done. _________________ 1969 Deluxe Bay Window Bus

mucked around with the injection, managed to cure poor idle (not sure quite how, it was definitely related to wiggling wires), took her for a test drive, still have stutter at about 55mph, waited for new temp sensor II to come through the post, didn't arrive, tried to pluck up courage to play with AFM, decided to trace battery drain instead, couldn't find it |
