Yes that would be nice but this car is 23,000 plus shipping. I want to have something that I can rat around in and not have to worry about destroying history. But It sure would be fun to have an original someday. |

I understand through some correspondents of mine in Oz, the guy selling the Kubekwagen, Vic, is quite a character.
But when you look at his web site, you quickly realize he has tons of VW parts. Clicking around his site, you will see he is highly organized in his display of his inventory. Pretty impressive as a VW parts business.

One thing interesting of note is the variation of pricing between the Samba ad ($27,990 o.n.o.) and this pricing he lists at his web site for the Kubelwagen.
He lists a price of US$23,990 o.n.o. two places at the site.

Just goes to show, advertising at The Samba, makes a vehicle worth more money.
The Kooble Kar option while less money, isn't necessarily cheap either.
From the pricing specs at that site:
The Kooble Kar
"$8,800 - Welded “tub” basic kit with all body panels welded to provide a monocoque structure ready to be finished. This all metal kit includes the following: authentic windshield hold downs, gas tank hump, spare tire carrier, “X” brace, front reinforcement panel, windshield frame and locks, doors, lids body panels (inner and outer, front and rear skid plates.
$1,300 - Top with authentic top bows (one hand operation), seat covers, and side curtains.
$11,650- Complete body choice of colors and markings.
$13,475 - Complete body on rolling chassis
$16,987 - Running “turnkey” T-82R Kooble on reman chassis with virtually new engine/transaxle.
“turnkey” means all required safety equipment such as turn signals, safety belts etc" _________________ "Here we don't have a single clock in the shop- time doesn't matter." ----Jake Raby
