Steering damper clamp

Does anybody knows who can sell the steering damper clamp for a pre 62 bus?
(just below number 4 in picture)

I prefer a shop, otherwise I will try the wanted ad method...

My 7/63 Bus with 1-ton option
My Bus has no clamp-on bracket, it bolts through the pivot point for the tie rods. It does have a front-beam bracket for the other side.

Since I was outside, here's my 8/60 Bus too, it has the clamp-on bracket. The othe side is on the frame instead of the front beam:

Now: Lighter action. Directly
connected to swing lever and
a bracket on the low axle tube.
Formerly: Connected with clip
on swing lever and bracket on
the front frame-side member

Thanks EV, shows just what I needed to know. You are the Man!!!!!!!!!!!! My panel is 1100171 with this earlier type setup, but has a refurbished front-end. I bought it this way, so Iam not sure if it is the OG front end. I will check tommorow to see if the frame has holes or if a bracket was welded on the frame. The axle tube shows no signs of a bracket welded on it. I belive it to be a 1-ton as it has 20mm link pins and 27mm spindle nuts, if I did my research correctly it is a 1 ton.

After searching this site I landed on this thread so I'll continue on since it's relevant.

I'm trying to install a steering damper that was not installed during a rebuild. I don't have a hole on the swing lever to mount the damper as shown in the main drawing. I do have 10m beam hole for the other side of the damper.

I'm looking for the parts circled in red, specifically #80, 81, 78, 79, 82, 83. Is there a parts database available for the 1967 panel bus? I was able to find this diagram online and would like to know source.

Thank you, any leads where I can purchase the parts mentioned above would be greatly appreciated.

Your 67 should have the swing arm like #59 above if it's a later front beam. Might be easier to find the right swing arm than that bracket.

Either way, here's the right one if your bus is a later front beam LHD

Numbers 78, 79, should come on the damper itself.

Wow! Thank you for the parts database link. That site is hugely helpful. There are times when I'm unsure of the name of a part and that site will help me recognize and properly identify the part.

Thank you for the suggestions! I'll give it a whirl trying to find a clamp on style bracket. If I can't find one I may look into fabricating one. Last option will be replacing the swing lever (59).

Just an update. I purchased that swing lever you located. I had already ordered an universal type steering damper bracket I planned on modifying, now I have options.

I thought I'd close out my part of the thread. I purchased the swing lever from another TheSamba member (62DoKaGuy). It arrived quickly and was exactly as expected. I cleaned it up a bit and installed the part with the steering damper. It made quite a bit of difference. The steering is still nowhere near my other 67' bus but that will be another post. Thank you for all the suggestions and leads!
