I was just wondering if anyone else didn't really like the way they look...I mean, I would love to have one, and I respect them for how old they are, but to me they just look weird without the vent overhang the later model splits have. I think it is the curve of the front nose, but anyway, I just don't like it. I think everything else about them is cool, though...

Now I'm not saying I would turn one down if I had a chance to buy it...I just think they look funny...

Shocked

To each their own, just respect that is where it all started.

Oh, I definitely respect them, and I think they are awesome, its just that I don't like the way the front roof line and the nose comes together. I'm probably just about the only person on this forum willing to admit it... Laughing

For me, the cool part would be the ability to climb into the engine compartment to work on stuff. Laughing

The missing overhang in the front freaks me out too.

The rear of a barny is cool. [/youtube]

I would much rather have one than a later split.
All the overhang vent in mine is good for is dripping water on me when it rains...

Ditto! Though I definitely enjoyed the Treffen show yesterday with all the great examples of Barny's in attendance, I would not want to really own one. I mean, they are indeed unique in their own way but IMHO the uniqueness as far as parts for them and such is something I personally not want to deal with. Confused

More power to those that do and keep them running and showing for the rest of us to admire! Cool

Well, maybe it's just that I need to see one up close and personal to appreciate the way it looks. I should have changed the title and mentioned that the only thing that I don't like about them is the front roof line...But anyway, maybe if I just saw one up close and personal then I might change my mind...But right now, I still don't care for the front roof line...
