1000 Islands Tower, Lansdowne Ontario Canada; May 1998. I had joined the Der Kaefer Fahrer (DKF) club convoy as we all returned from the Michigan Vintage VW Club meet in Auburn Hills, MI held at VW of America's HQ at the time. The tower is just north of the Canada/New York border 20 miles north of the city of Watertown, NY. We had 3 split window Beetles on the trip, a white '67, a black '58, the red/white Hebmueller, a blue '73 Super Beetle, and my Lime Green '77 Beetle.

Ginger at All-American in Massapequa, NY. All-American, born the same year as Ginger, is an independent burger-and-fries place that, unlike McDonald's, stayed true to its 54 year old roots. One location, original building, etc.
