I was hoping to go look at it this Saturday and the guy said it was sold last night (CRAP !). 86 silver syncro in the LA Craig's list for $1900.00
Just wondering how nice it was or was it a pile...

Yeah, I bought it. It's going on a car transporter and getting delivered to me up in the Seattle area. I'll let you know more about the condition when it gets here. I'm planning on fitting a full Carat interior to it, putting some 27x8.5x14 BFG All Terrain KOs on it, and replacing the viscous coupler with a driveshaft decoupler and solid shaft. It is a rear locker model. Should make for a nice all terrain Vanagon. I'm more of a Vanagon Carat person, but have been wanting a Syncro for some time now.
Of course if it turns out to be a disappointment, it will end up on Seattle Craigslist for what I'm into it.
