Wow, that is looking great.
Was it rusty original paint to start? Just curious because the front turn signal seals look painted red but it looks like original paint with the logos. |
it has the thing where they paint the bottom color all the way up to the trim. yuck. at least they painted it the original colors. |
You mean, they paint the top color, too far down, so you can see it under the trim. right? The factory let the trim hide the split in color.... correct? |

Do not drink and sit on the edge of the cargo floor of a bus when the rotisserrie is not kept from spinning.

Amazing work. Absolutely flawless. I like the undercarriage paint as well, it looks like it'll last a long time. Looks great, really really great. _________________ All your Buses are belong to us.

Absolutely stunning. I need to go change my pants.
The body and paint on my bus is super nice, but not THAT super super nice. WOW.
Underside looks good.
Now where is that WWMRD thread? I think I need to add an entry.
More metal work pics, please? I love that stuff. |

Here is a picture of the grease paint resist we applied to the inside of the headlight bucket to replicate the factory writing.

People have been asking for metal working pictures - here is the nose
Mark Rafferty made and used a wood buck to form the damaged part out of some fresh metal - talk about some skill!
The final product

That is a beautiful body restoration. I'd like to know exactly what panels were replaced, metal work done. And how long did the project take to get to this point?
Did the same person to the paint as well?
Really impressive! |
