I'd say "one of the best". There are a few good ones...
Gary Berg
Art Thraen
Pat Downs
Jake Raby
Jason Laufer
And more... _________________ Glenn

Steve has a machine shop in house. Steve is probably the best in AZ, besides Geoff Hart. |

Say "Hi" for me.
As far as I know, Steve has never advertised anywhere. Stays very busy though.

not really, i have never had a true hi-po engine built by him. just a couple of mild engines. his customers would know best. guys with 170k mile 1776's, the guys that help with his travel expensises to CA every year or two just so he can work on thier cars, the guys that took him to germany on the return to the fatherland tour several years ago. guys who ran 12-13 sec or so with 2007s. guys that learned to buy the best and cry once rather then buy the same ol crap over and over again. guys who have waited 2 years for an engine from him...these are the people who know best....i just have an insiders POV regarding his business. _________________ 67 bug x3

170k miles on a 1776? HA!!!...mine is just over 180k miles on my Steve Hollingsworth built 1776, last time Steve touched my engine was back in 2003 and the heads are nearing 73k miles. I'm due for another top-end rebuild. _________________ Jim Kikuchi
