Hey, guys! check this Porsche equipped, karmann Ghia. The timeless lines of the Karmann Ghia and the prowess of Porsche, merged in one, and what do you get! The best of both worlds!

I'd roll it! It's a good match, unlike the V8 swap. Clean as a whistle, too

This is the car I see in my dreams!!!!! Does it have the front end suspension also? I'm a real rookie, but looking to do something similar to my '71. Just don't know how to get started on a shoe string budget.

Thanks for the pics...this one is gonna be my screen saver. No windows so I'll stare into my pc Smile

That thing would look cool as hell with a Porsche body on it... Wink
Kind of a funny body choice I always thought.

I much prefer the 996/993 based Bus myself. I mean if you're gonna VW up a race car, go all out.

Looks like the decklid weather strip is in wrong, should be along the bottom half.

Here you go. This is from VolksWorld magazine and is on the Bader-Racing website:

http://www.bader-racing.de/en/presse/volksworld.pdf

If I remember correctly, you to could send them your Ghia and they will duplicate the exact same thing for $200k US. Sounds like a bargain to me Shocked

I really liked this car so I ordered a back copy of the magazine. Very Happy

Take care,

Kelly

yawn.

The Donger hasn't been starting five threads a day lately; he's a little off his game... "He shoots! - It's in the air... Oh, it's de-nied...!"

Yeah, so -

Oh, hey, how about that Ghia in the movie, Death Race 2000? It had a rocket engine from a V-2! It was way faster than that silver Porsche Ghia with the backwards rear weatherstripping.

I thought he adapted Super Beetle front end to the inner wheel wells,
then used Kerscher or K&W adjustable struts.

Btw, what Bader is asking to build one of his Porsche Ghias is 225,000 Euros
(about $315,000 US dollars).

This Freakin ridiculous. I could build 2 Porsche Ghias and have money left
over for a new Turbo 997 for that price. It just doesnt make sense. Why
would anyone pay that amount, when even Porsche can build the real
thing for 1/3 that price. Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil
