coil resistance, quick question

alright i have a bosch blue on the label it says
"bosch 12v without resistance"

but when i hook an ohm meter up it reads 4.6
this should work fine with my compufire right? dont they require 3 or more?

Correct. Same for Pertronix. 3 or more ohms is good.

I'm running a blue coil w/ internal resistor w/ pertronix. I haven't checked it but i would assume it's less than 3 ohms. Am I missing out on anything by having less than 3 ohms w/ the Pertronix?

There are two versions of Pertronix Ignitor. The Ignitor and Ignmitor II...

the Ignitor (original version) does not require externalballast resistor on low resistance coil. Ignitor II does require ballast resistor on low resistance coil...
