In trouble shooting my light and buzzer for oil pressure, I have continuity to the 14 pin cable on the high and low sides, so the dynamic logic board looks bad. In the mean time when I test continuity to the High pressure sensor, normally open untill I start engine and there is immediate continuity at idle which stays the same when I goose it to 4K RPM and over. Is this normal or is it supposed to close at higher pressure? Is the sensor also bad?
I know this had been talked to death, but I am about to order parts!

Class, please turn to page 17.7 in your Bentley manual:engine lubrication system.
Study 17.7 thru 17.10 and follow all lab tests to resolve the problem.
Oil pressure tester and test lamp required.
This will be on the final exam.

Thanks for the Bentley reference.
I realize that if I have to take it out to check, it I might as well replace it,
My question was, is it normal to have the switch Closed at idle, rather than at higher RPM. I was surprised that it closed so early, at idle and wondered if that was correct!
