Does anyone know of a good on line VW shop.

I have been waiting for almost a month for CIP to get a set of brake lines in. Both times they give me a date that comes and goes and there still out of stock.

I need to get these ordered but I am looking for a shop with reasonable prices like CIP but has maybe a little bit better inventory.

The last E-Mail I got said they had 1 available for phone orders, my only thought they was WHY ISN'T IT ON LINE?

Some one outside of California would be nice to so I don't have to pay tax, lol.

www.bughaus.com is a good source of T3 parts.
www.theddb.com for used parts.

I'll second that, on both of the above posts. And add EIS to the list.
ISP West is the schiznit, if you've got the money.
Bughaus has quality merchandise, that's almost always in stock.
DDB is the source for GOOD used parts.

CIP1 is for T1 stuff, as is Mid-America. I personally avoid both if at all possible. Junk pushers!
(Did you know that Mid-America bases your shipping charge on how much you spend, not size of the box or distance. Then they charge you TAX on SHIPPING Question Exclamation Even tho they are in the same state, only 400 miles down the road from me, I can get stuff from CA, faster & cheaper.)

I had worked for Bill and Steve’s about 20 years ago and still use them today, they are very knowledgeable. Also for the record, these companies buy from the same sources/warehouses. So. if their warehouse is out, they are S.O.L. And a good shop can cross some parts that are similar. I have bug brake hoses on the front of my fastback without any problems.

Mid America does not tax your shipping. The only time you pay any tax with Mid America Motorworks is if you are in Illinois and then you are only charged Sales Tax on the items purchased.

Then that has changed since the last catalog from them that I opened before it hit the garbage. I DO live in IL, and I can still get stuff from CA faster & cheaper.

I hate Mid-America and the usual crap they sell. But that's just my opinion.

I just don't trust them, everything seems cheap, and intended for a beetle. And they sell WAY too many tacky "accessories." Nobody wants to dress in that much VW drag.

I stand corrected. Mid-America DO NOT CHARGE TAX ON SHIPPING.
