| Do "bugs" and "things" both use the same size lug bolts? If so I'm needing to find some in chrome. |

Yes, early Beetle and Thing use the same lugs, 12mm. Here's a link...

1967 and earlier. They had the same lugs and bolt pattern ("Wide five") as all Things and used 12mm bolts.
