What would cause my carb to have beads of water on it sometimes? Brick wall

Your carb is icing. The venturi effect causes the intake temperature to be significantly lower than the engine compartment, causing condensation. It should only be there for a short while before the engine warms up. Sorry for the geeky explanation. Do you have a heat riser setup for your carbs?

I would check for vacuum leaks as well. Change out your gasket and make sure that the two mounting nuts are tight. I switch mine over to the nylon lock nuts.

Make sure that your heat risers are not clogged too. Those preheat your manifold as well. Soemtimes just tapping them while the motor is running will free them up.

Sometimes that happens on the neck of the intake just below the carb but it is not a problem, just two different temps meeting together like the threads above stated.
