| I believe the self propelled gun pictured above is the "elephant" which Dr Porsche had a hand in designing. If I remeber correctly it had an elctro mechanical power plant. 2 aircooled engines running electrical generators to power the vehicle. A design Porsche first proposed for the Tiger tank but was rejected as to complicated and unreliable for battle conditions. |
