I just picked it up today and I've already done some preliminary slickrock in it, even without the skidplate attached and running on passenger tires. I didn't get the chance to test the lockers which leads me to my question.

The lights on the dash for the locker selection aren't working because the lights aren't hooked up. Where do I find the wiring diagram for it.

Second; Where do I find a rebuild kit for the power steering pump?

First off, Congratulations on your purchase, and welcome.

Get the Bentley manual for the vanagon, you'll use it a lot. Van-cafe sells a power steering pump rebuild kit. You will hear a lot of people telling you to change you fuel lines, especially the plastic fire wall connector, and Van-cafe sells a kit to do this as well. here is a link to a site with a how to write up as well as pictures of what you may be in for if you dont change them http://www.benplace.com/fuel_line.htm

Never mind about the Bentley manual (the green one), I just noticed it in one of the pictures. It has the wiring diagrams towards the back.

Thanks.

I believe that's the Bentley in the 3rd pic, next to the cough haynes cough manual. I'll use the haynes to soak up any oil leaks while I read the Bentley.

I'm looking forward to taking this Syncro all over the red rocks of So. Utah.

Yeah syncro's are truly awesome vans, I still miss mine. You should join the Yahoo syncro group, those guys will be even more help than here, since they deal only with syncro issues http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/syncrolist/. Good luck with your van.
