bought an ignition switch for a 74-79 bay. The part number is for a 1991-1993 Fox and has a slightly different configuration. Waiting to see what Paul wants to do. Bays use a six pin and this is a five pin.
outcome: Paul said they used the 5 pin in their shop all the time because the 6 pin original is not available. I would not buy again from him because of the lack of disclosure in his ad. The switch will work but not like the original. That should have been in the ad. He charged a premium price for a VW workaround. I feel he is not a full disclosure guy. _________________

I have bought several items from Paul in the last 12 months. All were good transactions, good communication, the items were as described/pictured in the ads. The items I bought were a shift knob, a set of used rims, and a floor mat. _________________ Project vehicles:

1998 Jaguar XJR. Bought in 2015, rust free AZ car, refurbished myself. Driven in nice weather.
Parts needed:
Original brown rubber floor mats for a '67
Original gazelle seat upholstery for a ‘67 |

Bought a NOS made in Germany AN83 alternator from Paul. Being two retired guys with common VW and vintage Porsche interests, we had a very nice phone conversation followed up by a nice email exchange. Just to be sure, he had it checked over by his long-time electrical guy who gave it the thumbs up.
Couldn't ask for a smoother transaction or a nicer guy to deal with. I'm sure that I'll be back for more!
Thanks again Paul!. |
