Just because you CAN do something, doesn't mean you should. I tell my eight year old son this a thousand times a day. That trike idea makes me think of that advice..... _________________ Cat,

HAHAHA, this is not the first I have heard of someone wanting to make a trike out of a bus. guy has been telling me to do it to mine for a long time now. Cut off the front, sit in the rear bench, bend the roof down to the windshield on a bike front end. Man, 2.0 driving less than half a bus, that thing would fly.
i mean, horrible idea, shame on him! _________________ [email protected]

I only listen to classic rock in my bus. I have a guitar, long hair, and round sunglasses. My seat covers are that Hawaiian hibiscus flower style in black and i have giant fuzzy dice.
Problem is I have a real job and for the most part am independent and (mostly) responsible.
Does this make me a hippie? _________________ 1972 Deluxe named Lucidity

nah, thats not hippie, thats rocker. takes more than long hair to be a hippie. the following excludes you from hippiedom:

to be a hippie, you have be out of touch with reality (mumbo jumbo with a drug option), AND be constantly weaseling out of carrying your own weight. you just dont fit the profile... |

A hippie is best defined as someone who lives a life that is a little less narrow than someone else approves of and therefore they don't like them. To many if you don't drive a shiny new full size pickup truck or American made land yacht you are a hippie. |

I've met good, nice hippies (you know, a little fruity, kinda sweet) and I've met truly dirty hippies (breastfeeding mud-covered children in the middle of a Phish show in the rain, selling bogus drugs to 15 year olds in the parking lots, breaking in to people's car's) etc...being a hippie doesn't make me not like you, being a dirty hippie does...
BTW, if you use words like heady, custie, wookie, etc...then we have problems..(WTF, I never noticed all hippie words end in -ie!)
That said, I've never known a hippie to drive a trike, sounds oddly redneck to me... _________________ Wanted - Dormobile Roof Parts! |

It must be a Texas thang. I saw one in Temple, TX........like about 150 miles south of Dallas. I wish now that I had turned around to get a picture of it. Very strange looking; the bike part looked like an iron horse pulling a big ole wagen with two rows of seats, it was also open in the front.
Being a hippie is a state of mind. Where did all of the old hippies go??
Austin TX.

The old hippies turned off, tuned out, and got jobs.
It happened in the 80's:
