These were on my short list for a long time. How do they ride? Also, any issues with rubbing up front? My concern has always been overall height and rubbing when turning. |
this bus doesn't run... I do have these tires on a 60 kombi and there are no rubbing issues, they are a fairly stiff tire compared to a radial but I prefer looks over comfort on things I rarely drive, especially if they don't run |

Adding to the PowerKing trend...
6.70-15 super highway 2/ 7.00-15 super traction finally installed! Neither small-hatch nor as sun-baked as this one ^^, but I'm really happy with the look.
Salt season is coming fast here so I probably won't put much miles on them, but so far they drive great with no rubbing at all.

Just to follow up on this but Performance Tires in Long Beach has General Tire AT2 in 215/75R15 as of Feb 2019. They fit and do not rub on a stock 1960 Single Cab.

Thank you.
For the 215/75R15. Any rubbing? I have no issue deflating to install i just do not want rubbing.
BTW I just spoke to General Tire and the At2 tire has been phased out. It is replaced by ATx but they do not have small tire sizes yet in that size. |

I joined the super traxion e78-14 club today! bought a set for both my thing and the bus. Awesome fit no rubbing and the size complements the gearing on both VWs.

Are you sure they will fit? What year is your bus? I had a set and couldn't get them on the rear of a 58 bus |

Hi all- I've read through the last several pages of this thread. I have a stock height 65 bus. It sounds like 215/75-15 tires will fit without rubbing. What width wheels are people running? I'm seeing 5.5 inch width. Anything smaller or larger? |

If you’re a jersey looker you should go straight to the widest jackmans you can find. Otherwise, anything wider than stock wheels are going to give you grief rubbing on the fender lips or the spring plates or both. |

I have used this size tire on two different buses with stock 4.5" wide wheels, with no issues. _________________ drive your split. |

Recently installed General Grabber AT2 205/75 15 got them from America's/Discount Tire in Laguna Niguel CA. They fit well and look cool, and were about $99 each.
Much better ride than the Hankook tires I had on there before (not to mention going from Empi 5 Spokes to 15" OG bus)

thanks guys for the responses. Those looks good. I have 27/850R14 general grabbers At2 on it now, but looking to go a little bigger.
I really like these rims with the bigger tires.

I forgot to post these... In July, I upgraded the Grabbers (they needed it) with BF Goodrich AT2's, LT215/75/15, and a very nice difference with a stiffer sidewall. I freakin love em.
