so what is the largest 14" all-terrain/aggressive style tire you can use on a stock height bus? anyone have any suggestions? right now I am using 215/75/14 passenger style tires and would rather have the rigidity of light truck tires that have a nice aggressive tread pattern, I go rockcrawling/offroading on very rocky rough roads a lot around here (have surprised a lot of the jeep guys around here on the trails) and makes me nervous on my current el-cheapo tires.

I guess it all depends on what qualifies as "Large". Heigth or width? My 225-70-14s are barely shorter overall diameter than a 205-75-15 but much wider. They go on and off easy and havent rubbed once.

Thanks, I like those tires you have there, where did you get them and about how tall are they, is there somewhere I can read the specs on them? Awesome bus too!

Nice!

So the 225/70/14's are pretty darn close to a stock tire.

I'm sold.

yeah I'm sold too, thanks for the info Chad. It appears that Wal-Mart can order these puppies, so I'll check and see how much they are out the door at Wallyworld.

edit update: just called walmart and yes they sell them for $65 bucks each, 280 bucks or so mounted and balance with no warranty, 320 bucks with their warranty. they had 4 in stock at my local wallyworld.

Cool, enjoy them. By the way, Ive actually gotten walmart to waive the balancing charge on all my wide five rims. Since they cant balance them. Sometimes they only charge me for two rims, other times they just throw in the valve stems. Might save you a little something Wink

You gotta watch them tire installers! When I got my (played out) BRMs and went to get new tires, the mother flower had billed me for stems as well as the perenial "old tire disposal fee"!!! Shocked

So I forkin told him "WTF Fokker??? The rims came with the stems and there was NO old tire to dispose of!" Evil or Very Mad He smiled and said sorry and deleted the charges. Beware! Rolling Eyes

Cool, they come in 14s too. The 14s are pretty skinny though.

I just called - they don't stock this tire any more, so it would require a minimum order of about 50. The tire was ~$50

Well I would only need 4 in 14". I hate it when companies advertise stuff they don't have. I wonder how many of those tires on their website they actually stock.
