I was bummed when my Main Man Bruce told me he was offing off this mug. But when he told me it was going to Rembrandt, I was happy. Cuz its going to a good home and will eventually get done up. Mazel Tov!! |

There are an abormal # of RHD Single Cabs with Safaris... |
It does seem like that. Just about every split bus I have ever seen in a tropical or hot environment has safari's. In Burma I rarely saw a bus without them. |

that was a fluke that the trophy caught up to me from 04 for the binz...i really dont like the trophy thing unless it was a bulli brigade trophy...those make me happy.
jeff...i dont know much about the single only that i am the new owner and the logos were discovered while on the pipe...looks like albany is in western austrailia and i am no good with google or any other computer investigating.that is what it says on the nose on the passenger side like that is where it is from. |

Glad to hear you are making plans. Let me know when they firm up and I will set you up with a tour guide.
I don't usually mix religion, politics and VW's, but I do have a Kosher connection. I am a certified mashgiach, but only for dairy farms, donut shops and Korean BBQ's. Its a long story that I will explain to you over a couple P's and Q's. |

it looks like the word melville engineering is on the back of the roof and engineering is on the nose and the other word above it was in red and was worn off or it came of with the removal process.so maybe the word i thought to be "joe" was "for".the side belly door was turned into a side loader of some sort and that thing weighed 45 lbs. |

I think Joe Mond has the original motor for that truck, you should see if he will sell it to you. |

good call but i asked him and he said he will not...its not like i need a engine for a project that i have,he has the engine that my truck was born with.i will find an unstamped and restamp it or find a 54 20- and see if he will be kind enough to trade it.but i am not holding my breath...
i have no pic of the whole thing right now because the back half is a bag of dicks and needs some attention but i will get it back to shape.
bubba..they are all alot of work, thought you knew... |

the engineering company in oz converted it to a side loader and made the belly door open side ways and hacked the top of the bed rails out and then lined the bed and belly with some serious plate steel.i have no photos of this as my main man gave the truck it's circumsision before i ever though about owning it. |
