I've always been very partial to a DB color called "Bluegreen"...planning a Heckflosse project in this color. I think it would look very cool and unique on the Noback.

So mix them and go blue-grey.

I used a pewter color on the floor of my square, and white on the sides and blue on the top. Pewter on the cage ( to match the interior ) blue on the outside. Best of both. _________________ I think he meant "rare", as in "not well-done" |

I have not yet been able to paint the car, but last weekend I was finally able to take it down 8th mile.
Even though it was on Old hard street tires, and I had to launch like leaving from a stoplight, it was still quite fun. My 8th mile speeds were faster than my quarter mile speed in the purple notch.
The track allowed me to run even though my cage needs redone. Full helmet gloves horse collar and jacket were required without the top, but I didn't care. I finally got to run the car with the 2332 in it. Times weren't fast, but they weren't slow either. The next step is to get some tires that have traction, redo the roll cage, and then see what the car can really do.
9.97 Was my best run of the weekend. With a 2.14 60 foot time on the really worn out tires. The car was consistent, and when I was done I was able to drive it back onto the trailer. It was a good day. _________________ 64 No'back Speedster "Pearl"

Sweet. Glad to hear you made it to the track with it this year.
So, even if you redo the cage, you still have to wear the helmet and horse collar?
You really do want the car consistent. Then you can make changes and see in real time how they affect your times.
Remember, even a bad day at the track is better than a good day at work. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

Yep. Open top cars have a different set of safety rules. I'm fine with it, as I have everything, less the jacket already. It gets a bit warm if it is sunny, but otherwise, it isn't bad. _________________ 64 No'back Speedster "Pearl"

This was fun. Front engine air-cooled and mid-engine air-cooled...

Saturday is the next run at the track... I have all gears this time!
Shift light added, so I won't short shift based on sound this go round. Will be interesting to see what happens knowing I have 3rd gear! _________________ 64 No'back Speedster "Pearl"

Still had to soft launch the car, but it did pretty well for a street Engine! I cut an .003 light, Han a better e.the. and even drove it back onto the trailer when done.
It was a good day! _________________ 64 No'back Speedster "Pearl"

The current tire situation is not working for traction. So...
Changes. Since the car pisses off most VW folk already, why not?

If it wasn't for the added weight, I'd glass them in and paint them body color. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof
