ok... I need real people input vs. google maps. Am I better off taking I5 as far south as I can then over to Hesperia or taking 99 from up north all the way to 58 to Hesperia? I don't think I have been on 99 down there since the 80s. _________________ 64 No'back Speedster "Pearl"

My sister just did it from Corona to Chico. She said less traffic and maybe 2 hours more due to lights and town traffic. _________________

I live on 99 and have gone to 'berdoo both ways.
When I go, I take 99 down to 58. 58 over to 14 and then down 138. It might take longer, but there are fewer idiots out on the roads of the hi desert than the so cal zoo

Thank you. Any weird things to watch for going down 99? I was thinking of going from Vegas up through Reno, but have no idea of weather condition issues that way in mid Novembers. _________________ 64 No'back Speedster "Pearl"

is there anything 'interesting' from the time you get on 99 until you hit Hesperia? _________________ 64 No'back Speedster "Pearl"

In the morning, the adventure starts, again...
I hope, the by Monday, the roof might be hanging over the car so that I can measure 97 times. _________________ 64 No'back Speedster "Pearl"

Are you putting a steel roof on the Speedster? I thought you were going to do a carbon fiber one. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

Ok. Worst comes to worse, that steel roof could be made to fit right on it too. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

Yep. It will be the original fit, then c/f or fiberglass.
The rough idea...

Looks fairly straight. Should work out out good for you. It's a shame you can't use the under rear window vent to help cool the engine, or feed the carbs with air. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

I wonder how thin that right side is. That looks like some nasty rust. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof
