Give them as much info and pics of your car as you can and give them comparable cars to help them come to the right value. Overwhelm them with info to document their file and they will be able to pay you a proper settlement. Most of the time they just need the info so they can satisfy their superiors. Show them that Nada value is not correct.

I'm not adressing this at any one person specifically, but....it's funny how when you want to buy a car, the NADA price is waaaayyyy too high (nobody pays that kind of money for a Ghia), but when you want insurance to pay what you have into it, NADA is undervaluing the Ghia. Very Happy

According to the NADA price guide for collectible cars, a 1972 Ghia has the following values:
Low Retail = $5,625
Average Retail = $9,500
High Retail = $16,000

I've never seen your car, nor do I know what you had into it, but IMO if you get anywhere close to $16k be happy.

I couldn't even imagine something like that happening to me. I'm really sorry to hear it and I know how sick you must feel. I sure hope someone signed you up for Overhaulin.

Ditto, though, I think they only do American.

I stand corrected. (I gave up on the show after the 3rd or 4th season.)

I have seen a beetle, 2 vans and a thing on pimp my ride...along with Toyotas and Nissans

I'll keep an eye out in North Carolina... you never know... any identifying features that would remain if they did a paint job?
